AGENTS THAT LEARN FROM OTHER AGENTS

This is the on-line proceedings of the workshop on Agents that Learn from Other Agents held as part of the 1995 International Machine Learning Conference. Led by an invited talk by Tom Mitchell of Carnegie-Mellon University, eleven reports about current research on this topic were presented.

CORA HOME PAGE

CORA is a framework for distributed problem solving by a group of diverse and interacting reactive agents. Problem characteristics are utilized to achieve problem solving by asynchronous and well coordinated local interactions. The coordination mechanisms guide the search space exploration by the society of interacting agents, facilitating rapid convergence to a solution. CORA has been applying to job shop scheduling constraint satisfaction/optimization problems with outstanding performances.
DATA UNDERSTANDING GROUP

The intention of the Data Understanding Group (also known as the Bayesian Model-Based Learning or Bayes Group) is to develop the basic theory and associated algorithms for various kinds of general data analysis techniques. The Data Understanding Group is a research and development effort within the Computational Sciences Division at NASA Ames Research Center.
LEARNING IN MULTI-AGENT SYSTEMS WEBLIOGRAPHY

Welcome to the collection of potentially useful sources of information about issues related to learning in multi-agent systems. This list is relatively new and is undergoing continuous development. Please send us any additions, modifications or comments.
MULTI-AGENT SYSTEMS LABORATORY

The Multi-Agent Systems Laboratory, under the direction of Professor Victor Lesser, is concerned with the development and analysis of sophisticated AI problem-solving and control architectures for both single-agent and multiple-agent systems. The laboratory has pioneered work in the development of the blackboard architecture, approximate processing for use in control and real-time AI, and a wide variety of techniques for coordination of multiple agents.
